One question that keeps bothering me all the time is ‘What is the purpose of life?’. What is the purpose of our existence on this earth? What is the meaning of life? Why are we living?
What I have understood is that purpose of life is different for everyone. It differs from person to person as everyone is born and raised in different places, cultures, and circumstances.
For some people, it is to achieve name and fame in life. For some people, it is to earn money. For some people, it is all about money, wealth, a big house, cars and all the materialistic pleasures in life. For some people, it is power and social status. For some people, it is to raise their children, provide them education, and get them married and settled in life. For some people, it is to get a good job and get married to a good partner. For some people, it is to follow their passion. For some people, it is to travel and explore different places and understand people and different cultures. For some people, it is about treasuring old customs, traditions, and heritage. For some people, it is to treasure moral, cultural, or religious values and pass them to the next generation. For some people, it is to protect the environment and wildlife. For some people, it is to find or understand God or achieve salvation. For some people, it is to find peace in life. For some people, it is to find happiness in life. For some people, it is to find love in life. For some people, it is to live and enjoy life to the fullest. For some people, it is about merely surviving in life. For some people, it is just all about getting their next meal anyhow.
Why are we living when we know that one day we all die and everything will remain here? Some people get understood from the beginning that all things, relationships and attachments are just an illusion. They become free from all of them. While some people not only live for themselves but also for others. Their purpose in life is to make a difference in someone’s life. Their purpose in life is to help other people. Their purpose in life is to serve humanity.
Some people know their purpose in life from the beginning. Some people like me don’t able to understand the purpose of life their whole life.
It’s very important to have a purpose or aim in life. A purpose in life makes the life worth living.
Have a purpose in life that is worth living for.
I don’t know what I want in life. I am wandering aimlessly.
Believe Strong 
This is a great message. I live first to love, worship and serve God. My purpose in this life is to live a godly life in hopes of an eternal life in heaven. Everything and everyone else comes second.

Most of us don’t even think about it and continue in the rat race. You are thinking about it and am sure you would find it.
